The Biltmore Gig Policy

As a working musician, I want to make our gig policy clear and fair. Please read this page and if you have any questions including booking, contact us at biltmorebarandlounge@gmail.com.

Gig Length and Timing

All acts are booked for one two-hour set. I have worked way too many three-hour gigs and feel they are a grind for th e musicians and boring for the audience. Gigs start at 8PM and end at 10PM.

Compensation

  • Monday through Thursday: $50 per person, maximum $200 (four persons).

  • Friday and Saturday: $75 per person, maximum of $300 (four persons).

  • If you want to have more than four musicians, you are welcome to do so, but you will be paid the maximum for that day of the week.

  • Band members receive one drink on the house.

  • Compensation for special or ticketed events will be worked out in advance with management.

Payment

  • The Biltmore pays performers with a single check.

  • The performers must tell us who to make the check payable to.

  • The recipient of the check is responsible for paying the band members.

Equipment

  • Performers are welcome to bring their own instruments and amps. You must arrive by 7PM for setup and sound check. Equipment must be removed from the stage directly following the performance.

  • Performers are responsible for their equipment. The Biltmore is not responsible for any loss or damage. Performers provide their own patch cables.

  • The Biltmore can provide a piano, drum set (bass, tom, floor tom, snare, ride, crash, and hi-hat), bass amp (Fender Rumble 40), and guitar amps (Fender Champion 40 and Fishman Loudbox Artist). Drummers are welcome to bring their own cymbals.

  • The Biltmore provides a sound system, mics, mic cables, and mic stands. Let us know in advance how many you will need. Staff will assist in setup.

Expectations

We expect performers to

  • Let us know in advance your line up and equipment needs.

  • Show up on time (7PM for 8PM start)

  • End promptly at 10PM and breakdown equipment to make the stage available.

  • Behave professionally.

  • Maintain appropriate sound levels as determined by management.
